Middle Atlantic RackLink IP Power & Monitoring | Network PDUs (20 products)

Middle Atlantic RackLink IP Power & Monitoring

Network-controlled PDUs with per-outlet switching, remote reboot, metering and environmental sensors.

RackLink is Middle Atlantic's networked power platform. Instead of a passive outlet strip, a RackLink PDU is a managed device: it reports voltage, current and power draw, switches individual outlets on and off over the network, reboots a locked-up device without a truck roll, and raises alerts when temperature, humidity or current cross a threshold. The range covers compact RLNK-215 two-outlet units, Select Series 4, 9, 10 and 16 outlet PDUs, Premium+ models with two-stage surge protection, RackLink-equipped NEXSYS UPS units, and temperature, humidity and dry-contact sensors.

What Is in This Collection

  • RLNK Select Series PDUs — 4, 9, 10 and 16 outlet IP-controlled rack PDUs at 15A.
  • RLNK Premium+ PDUs — 15A and 20A models adding two-stage surge protection and filtering.
  • RLNK Compact Units — two-outlet IP-controlled power for small installs and single devices.
  • UPX RackLink UPS Models — NEXSYS 1000VA to 2000VA UPS units with RackLink networking built in.
  • RackLink Network Cards — add network monitoring to compatible NEXSYS UPS units.
  • Sensors — RLNK-TEMP temperature and humidity sensors and RLNK-CONT dry-contact sensors.

Why Networked Power

  • Remote reboot — clear a hung device without dispatching a technician
  • Per-outlet control for scheduled shutdowns and energy savings
  • Real-time current and power metering so you know what the rack actually draws
  • Alerts on over-current, over-temperature and humidity before something fails
  • Sequencing and delay per outlet, configured in software rather than hardware
  • Central visibility across many rooms and sites from one interface

Typical Applications

  • Multi-site digital signage and retail AV where truck rolls are expensive
  • Unattended equipment rooms and remote closets
  • Managed service and AV-as-a-service deployments
  • Higher education campuses with many identical classrooms
  • Broadcast and control rooms requiring monitored power
  • Any system where uptime is measured and reported

Frequently Asked Questions

What does RackLink do that a normal PDU does not?

It puts the PDU on the network. You get per-outlet switching, remote reboot, current and power metering, configurable power-up sequencing, and threshold alerts — all of which a passive strip cannot provide at any price.

Can I reboot a frozen device remotely?

Yes. That is the single most common reason integrators specify RackLink: cycling the outlet on a hung signage player or codec from a browser, rather than sending someone to the site.

Does RackLink integrate with control systems?

RackLink PDUs are IP-addressable and are commonly driven from Crestron, Extron, AMX and Q-SYS control systems, as well as from RackLink's own management interface. Confirm the driver for your specific control platform before you commit.

What is the difference between Select and Premium+?

Premium+ adds two-stage surge protection and filtering on top of the networked control found in the Select series. If the rack holds high-value processing or amplification, the Premium+ protection is worth the difference.

What can the sensors monitor?

RLNK-TEMP reports temperature and humidity at the rack, and RLNK-CONT accepts dry-contact inputs from door switches, leak detectors and similar devices, so the PDU can alert on conditions as well as on power.

Can I get RackLink and UPS in one unit?

Yes — the UPX NEXSYS UPS models include RackLink networking, and a RackLink network card can be added to compatible NEXSYS UPS units.
