Team Voices

What it's like to work here.

Stories from team members building careers at Creation Networks — across engineering, sales, project management, and field operations.

I joined as a junior tech and earned my CTS-D certification in my second year — fully paid by the company. Now I'm leading designs for control rooms I never thought I'd touch this early in a career.
The leadership team is technical-first. When you bring a problem, you get real engineering conversation, not just KPIs. That's why I've stayed.
Coming from a bigger integrator, the difference here is autonomy. I run my book of business, my pipeline, my client relationships — and the comp structure actually rewards effort.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Careers FAQ

Working at Creation Networks — answered.

The most common questions candidates ask about jobs, locations, certifications, security clearances, benefits, and the application process.

Most full-time roles are based in Concord, California or the East Bay, with hybrid options for engineering and project management. Field technicians work across the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, and Northern Nevada.

Our CAVIT cleared AV staffing pool deploys nationwide to government contractors and defense facilities — assignments are wherever the cleared work is.

Engineering and project management roles offer hybrid work — typically a mix of office time, on-site customer visits, and remote work. Field technicians and freelance event roles are inherently on-site, since the work happens in customer facilities and venues.

Some senior roles can be fully remote on a case-by-case basis. We evaluate every applicant individually.

We hire across the full commercial AV lifecycle:

  • Sales — Audio Visual Account Managers, business development
  • Engineering — AV Sales Engineers, Crestron / Q-SYS programmers, system designers
  • Project management — AV Project Managers, Logistics Coordinators
  • Field — Lead Techs, Installers, Cable Techs, Programmers
  • Live events — Freelance AV Technicians (on-call)
  • Cleared staffing — CAVIT (TS / TS-SCI cleared) AV and IT specialists

Required certifications vary by role:

  • Sales Engineer — CTS or CTS-D preferred; D-Tools and CAD proficiency required
  • Account Manager — CTS, Crestron, or Cisco/Poly/Extron certifications preferred (not required)
  • Project Manager — CTS or PMP preferred
  • Field Technician — Entry-level welcome; CTS pursued during first 12–18 months
  • Freelance Tech — Working at heights, first aid, aerial lift certifications "an asset"

For full-time team members, we pay for the certifications and the exam fees — including AVIXA CTS / CTS-D, Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, and Shure SystemOn.

Most senior roles ask for 3–5 years of relevant experience. Junior and field-level roles can start at zero AV experience if you have related low-voltage, IT infrastructure, or trades background and the right attitude.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, apply anyway and tell us what you've done — we read every application.

For our CAVIT (Cleared Audio-Visual and IT) staffing program, candidates must come in with an active and transferable clearance — typically Secret, Top Secret (TS), or TS/SCI. We don't initiate new clearances from scratch for new hires.

For non-cleared roles, no clearance is required and Creation Networks doesn't initiate one as part of standard hiring.

CAVIT (Cleared Audio-Visual and IT) is Creation Networks' specialty staffing pool of cleared AV professionals — technicians, engineers, integrators, and IT specialists with active security clearances.

We deploy CAVIT staff to government contractors, defense agencies, military installations, and secure facilities for embedded support, command center operations, secure collaboration rooms, and IT infrastructure deployments — anywhere classified work happens and only cleared personnel can be on-site.

Full-time team members receive:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off that grows with tenure
  • Paid holidays and CA-compliant sick leave
  • Performance bonus eligibility (and commission for sales roles)
  • Funded certification and training reimbursement
  • Hybrid work for eligible roles, with mileage and per-diem for field travel

Yes — for full-time employees we cover course fees, study materials, and exam costs for AVIXA CTS and CTS-D, Crestron Certified Programmer, Q-SYS Level 1 and Level 2, Extron, Shure SystemOn, and other manufacturer training relevant to your role.

We treat certifications as career investments, not perks — they make you better at your job and they make us better at ours.

Freelance AV technicians earn up to $30+/hr depending on experience, with a guaranteed 4-hour minimum shift pay regardless of actual hours worked. Travel to and from event venues is the technician's responsibility, but in-event mileage and per-diem may apply on out-of-area assignments.

Apply with rate expectations to info@creationnetworks.net and we'll match you with shifts that fit.

The fastest way is to use the application form at the bottom of this page. Include your resume, the role you're applying for, and a brief note about why you're interested. For freelance technician work, email info@creationnetworks.net with rate expectations and a cover letter.

We read every application and respond — even when there's no immediate fit.

Most roles run through three stages: an initial recruiter conversation, a technical or hiring-manager interview, and a final-round meeting with team leadership. The whole process typically wraps in 2–3 weeks.

For senior engineering roles, expect a brief technical assessment or design walkthrough. For sales roles, expect to discuss your pipeline approach.

Most roles require U.S. work authorization. Cleared roles (CAVIT) require U.S. citizenship. International applicants who already hold valid U.S. work authorization are welcome to apply.
