The Middle Atlantic RLNK-TEMP is a temperature and humidity sensor for RackLink Premium+ PDUs, adding environmental monitoring to the platform's power management capabilities. It tracks ambient conditions inside an equipment rack and alerts you to thermal or humidity threats before they cause system downtime. Multiple sensors can be connected to monitor several components or locations within an enclosure, and a 13-foot (4 m) cable allows flexible placement. Conditions are reported through the RackLink platform alongside power monitoring data.

Product Description

Heat and humidity are leading causes of premature equipment failure in AV racks, and the RLNK-TEMP gives integrators a direct way to watch both. The sensor connects to a Middle Atlantic Premium+ PDU with RackLink, the company's IP power management platform developed for demanding AV applications and proven on highly secure networks. Through RackLink, environmental readings join the PDU's monitoring, control, logging, and power protection data, accessible locally or remotely through third-party AV control systems, cloud platforms, and SNMP. The sensor measures temperature across a wide range of -25°C to +75°C with ±1°C accuracy, and relative humidity from 0% to 100% RH with ±2.5% RH accuracy in the 20% to 60% range at 25°C. Connect multiple RLNK-TEMP sensors to a single system to monitor individual heat-producing components, several zones within one enclosure, or the broader room ecosystem. The included 13 ft (4 m) cable lets you position the sensing element where it matters most, whether at an amplifier exhaust, the top of the rack, or an intake vent. When readings cross defined thresholds, RackLink can issue alerts so service teams respond before a thermal event takes the system offline, reducing truck rolls and service costs. While the RLNK-CONT accessory monitors contact-closure devices such as door switches, the RLNK-TEMP focuses specifically on environmental temperature and humidity conditions.
