The fastest way to stall a federal AV project is to hand an information system security officer a rack full of undocumented devices two weeks before an authority to operate review.
We deliver AV systems as documented network assets: a device inventory with make, model, firmware baseline, MAC, and required ports; unused services disabled; 802.1X supported where your network enforces it; AV traffic on the VLAN your security team specifies; and no device quietly reaching a manufacturer cloud unless you have approved it.
For conferencing, we install room hardware against the platform your agency has already authorized and configure endpoints to reach only your tenant. The authorization boundary belongs to your platform; our job is to build the room so nothing steps outside it.

Civilian agencies are usually more public-facing, so Section 508 accessibility and public meeting or hearing capability carry more weight, and FedRAMP posture matters more than physical security accreditation. Section 508 applies to the AV system's user interfaces and to the content it produces. In practice: control interfaces with sufficient contrast, touch target sizing, and non-visual operability; assistive listening in assembly spaces; captioning capability in the streaming and recording chain; and VPAT documentation for supplied components. We are an integrator, not a cloud service provider: the authorization boundary is your platform's, and we design the room so it stays inside it.
What about cybersecurity requirements for AV devices?
AV endpoints are network endpoints. We deliver device inventories with firmware baselines, disable unused services, support 802.1X where your network requires it, segment AV traffic onto the VLAN your security team specifies, and provide the documentation your ISSO needs for the system security plan. We do not ship a system that quietly reaches the public internet.
