The Middle Atlantic RLNK-CONT is a dry contact sensor accessory for Premium+ PDUs with RackLink, extending the platform's remote system management beyond power distribution. It provides two active dry contacts powered by 12V plus five digital contact closure channels that accept customer-provided Normally Closed or Normally Open switches. Connected to a RackLink PDU, the sensor lets integrators monitor and control equipment such as door handles, alarms, and fans from the same IP control interface. Each channel is independently configurable, with NC as the factory default.

More than power distribution, the Premium+ PDU with RackLink is one of the most advanced yet simplest IP control solutions for remote system management in the AV industry, and the RLNK-CONT dry contact sensor turns it into a rack-wide monitoring hub. The module adds two active dry contacts powered by 12V, suitable for driving connected devices directly. It also adds five digital contact closure channels that work with customer-provided Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO) switches, covering everything from rack door sensors to alarm and fan status contacts. Each of the five ports can be independently set to NC or NO operation, so mixed sensor types coexist on one module; the factory default for every channel is NC. Multiple sensors can be connected together, scaling contact monitoring across larger rack installations without additional control hardware. Because the sensor reports through RackLink, integrators can monitor contact states locally or remotely through third-party AV control systems, cloud platforms, and SNMP.
