Why SDVoE rather than a matrix

SDVoE moves uncompressed 4K video over a standard 10G network switch with zero added latency, which means the routing capacity is set by the switch rather than by a fixed matrix frame. In a facility that keeps growing, that is the difference between adding a switch port and replacing the matrix.

The network is the system. SDVoE requires a 10G switch with the correct multicast and IGMP configuration, and a switch that has not been set up for it will produce faults that look like AV problems. Specify the switch as part of the AV design, not as IT's responsibility.

Scaling receivers handle format conversion at the display end, which is what lets mixed resolutions coexist on one system.
