Product Overview
The Lightware HDMI-TPX-RX107D is the receiver counterpart to the HDMI-TPX-TX107D, completing a full 4K HDMI 2.0 point-to-point extension link over the TPX infrastructure. It receives the TPX signal and outputs HDMI 2.0 at up to 4K UHD 60Hz RGB 4:4:4 with 18Gbps bandwidth, supporting HDCP 2.2 and HDR content. RS-232, IR, and Ethernet pass-through and PoE supply to the transmitter are included, and a Dante audio output enables IP audio integration. Part number 91580016 series.
Product Description
The HDMI-TPX-RX107D operates at the display end of a TPX signal extension system. It receives the fiber or shielded copper TPX signal from the transmitter and reconstructs the full HDMI 2.0 output for connection to a 4K display, projector, or video processor. Paired with the HDMI-TPX-TX107D transmitter, it forms a complete, transparent 4K 60Hz extension link with no image quality loss.

PoE supply capability means the receiver powers the remote transmitter over the TPX cable, eliminating the need for a local power supply at the source end of the run. The Dante audio output on the receiver side extracts audio from the HDMI stream for independent routing to IP audio systems.

The LW3 control protocol enables integration with third-party control systems at the receiver location. Available from Creation Networks, an authorized Lightware reseller.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the HDMI-TPX-RX107D need to be paired with the HDMI-TPX-TX107D transmitter?
- Yes. The TPX receiver and transmitter are designed to work as a matched pair within the Lightware TPX product family. Using mismatched TPX endpoints may result in compatibility or performance issues. Confirm pairing requirements with Creation Networks before ordering.
- Does the receiver supply power to the transmitter?
- Yes. The PoE supply feature allows the receiver to power the remote HDMI-TPX-TX107D over the TPX link cable, eliminating the need for a separate 12V power supply at the transmitter location.
- What cable medium does the TPX link use?
- TPX supports fiber optic and shielded twisted pair (STP) depending on the TPX cable or module type. Fiber offers longer distances and ground loop immunity; STP is a cost-effective option at shorter runs. Confirm cable compatibility with your specific TPX configuration.
- What does the Dante audio output do at the receiver?
- The Dante output on the receiver extracts audio from the reconstructed HDMI signal and places it on a Dante IP audio network. This allows audio to be independently routed to Dante amplifiers, DSPs, or recording systems without a separate audio extractor.
- Is this compatible with 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 displays?
- Yes. The receiver outputs full 18Gbps HDMI 2.0, which is required for 4K 60Hz RGB 4:4:4. The end display must also support HDMI 2.0 at that bandwidth to receive the full signal quality.
- What control systems integrate with this receiver?
- The LW3 protocol supports Crestron, AMX, Savant, Extron, and most commercial AV control platforms via RS-232 or Ethernet. Control from the receiver side is bidirectional, extending through the TPX link to the transmitter location as well.
- Where can I purchase the HDMI-TPX-RX107D?
