What UCX solves

The problem in a BYOD room is not video, it is USB. When a laptop connects, the room's camera, microphone and speakerphone all have to follow it, and the switch has to be instant or the meeting stalls. UCX switches the USB host alongside the video, so plugging in a different laptop moves the whole room to it.

Specify by the number of inputs the room genuinely needs and whether wireless participants are in scope. Confirm the power delivery budget against the laptops in use — a machine that expects 90W will charge slowly or not at all from a lower-rated port, and users read that as a fault in the room.
