VINX against SDVoE

VINX runs on 1G infrastructure and uses compression, which makes it far cheaper to deploy across an existing network. SDVoE is uncompressed on 10G with zero latency. For digital signage, classroom distribution and video walls where a frame of latency is irrelevant, VINX is the right economics. For live production, medical imaging or any application where latency is visible, it is not.

As with any AV-over-IP system, multicast and IGMP snooping have to be configured correctly on the switch or the network will flood. That configuration is part of the AV design.
