Product Overview

The Lightware TPX-4x3-TX20-RX107 is a complete Taurus UCX transmitter and receiver bundle combining the UCX-4x3-TPX-TX20 multi-input matrix transmitter with the HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107 SDVoE receiver in a single purchase. The bundle delivers USB-C and HDMI 2.0 signal extension over a single CAT6A cable to 100 meters, supporting 4K UHD at 60Hz 4:4:4 and 5K (5120x2160) resolution over HDMI 2.0. It is purpose-built for enterprise conference rooms, Microsoft Teams and Barco-based collaboration spaces, and huddle rooms requiring multi-source switching, USB peripheral sharing, and USB-C bring-your-own-device connectivity from a single compact transmitter. The bundle is available from Creation Networks and is the standard deployment pairing for Lightware Taurus UCX installations.

Product Description

The UCX-4x3-TPX-TX20 transmitter accepts two HDMI 2.0 inputs and one USB-C input (supporting DisplayPort 1.2a, up to 4K60 4:4:4 at 600 MHz pixel clock), routes any source to its TPX output and local HDMI monitor, and carries video, audio, USB 2.0, RS-232, OCS, and Ethernet to the HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107 receiver over a single RJ45 CAT6A cable at 10GBase-T. USB host switching supports up to 8 devices across both units — four at the transmitter and four at the receiver — enabling seamless peripheral handoff between in-room and laptop-connected computers. The transmitter provides USB-C charging at up to 100W and PoE+ remote power delivery to the receiver (up to 25.4W), eliminating the need for a separate power connection at the display end.

The HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107 receiver outputs one HDMI 2.0 signal (up to 4K60 4:4:4) to the display, provides two Ethernet ports for room device LAN connectivity, one RS-232 port for display control, and one balanced analog audio output (2-ch PCM). The receiver is passively cooled and can be powered by the transmitter’s PoE output or by an included 12V DC adapter. Both units carry NIST FIPS 140-3 certified cryptography as an optional variant. Available with FIPS certification (SKU: 91360034 variant). Syslog remote logging is supported on both units via TCP/UDP/TLS for integration with SIEM and network monitoring tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cables are included in the bundle?
The bundle includes power supplies and Phoenix connector plugs for both units. A CAT6A cable between transmitter and receiver is not included and must be ordered separately. A USB-C cable (USB 3.1 Gen2) is supplied with the transmitter.
Can the receiver operate without a separate power supply?
Yes. The UCX-4x3-TPX-TX20 transmitter provides PoE+ power to the HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107 receiver over the CAT6A link (up to 25.4W). A 12V DC adapter is also supplied with the receiver as an alternative power source.
Does the bundle support Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms?
Yes. The bundle supports USB-C and HDMI source switching alongside USB 2.0 peripheral sharing — the core requirements for Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Barco ClickShare configurations. Specific integration details depend on the room controller and collaboration platform configuration.
Is the 5K resolution support practical for current displays?
5K (5120x2160) support is available over HDMI 2.0 at 30Hz 4:4:4 or 60Hz 4:2:0. It targets ultrawide 21:9 displays and advanced visualization environments. Standard 4K60 4:4:4 remains the primary deployment resolution.
What is the maximum USB 2.0 speed over the TPX link?
The TPX link carries USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) transparently and in composite mode. USB 3.0+ speeds are not extended over the CAT6A link.
Can the transmitter switch between its three video inputs?
Yes. The UCX-4x3-TPX-TX20 is a 4x3 matrix switcher — it routes any of its inputs to its HDMI monitor output and TPX output independently, including any-input to any-output combinations.
Is a FIPS-certified version available to order?
Yes. Contact Creation Networks to order the FIPS 140-3 certified variant (LWR CryptoCore, SKU 91360034) for government and secure facility deployments.
