Product Overview
The Lightware UCX-4x3-HC40 is a 4-input, 3-output universal matrix switcher built for modern BYOD and BYOM conference environments that require simultaneous USB-C and HDMI 2.0 connectivity with integrated USB peripheral sharing. Certified for Google Meet, the unit functions as the central AV and USB hub in boardrooms, conference rooms, and training spaces hosting up to 12 participants across up to four connected host devices. Its fanless design and TEMPEST SDIP27 Level B certification also make it suitable for secure government and defense installations. Long-tail keywords: Lightware UCX-4x3-HC40 USB-C HDMI matrix switcher boardroom, 4K 60Hz BYOM conference room switcher triple display, Google Meet certified USB-C AV switcher commercial.
Product Description
The UCX-4x3-HC40 accepts two USB-C and two HDMI 2.0 inputs, routing any selected source to three independent HDMI 2.0 outputs — enabling dual or triple-display configurations for front-of-room and confidence-monitor layouts. Each USB-C port carries 4K video, USB 3.1 Gen1 data, and up to 100W of device charging over a single cable, removing the need for separate power adapters at the table. Four USB-A 3.1 Gen1 peripheral ports provide shared access to room cameras, speakerphones, touch displays, and other USB devices for any connected host. The switcher maintains three independent Ethernet layers — secure control, utility AV, and configurable user data — each physically separated to prevent cross-contamination of corporate and room-control traffic. Secure device management is handled via SSH, SSL, and HTTPS through the Lightware Device Controller (LDC) software or the LARA room automation platform. RS-232, GPIO, and occupancy sensor ports enable integration with room control processors and automated display management. Remote system logging via Syslog (RFC3164/RFC5424) allows integration with enterprise SIEM systems.
