Planar QE, EP & PS Series Commercial Displays

Legacy Planar large-format LCD — remaining stock, spares and mapped replacements.

The QE, EP and PS Series and the LookThru transparent OLED have all been discontinued by Planar, but there are a great many of them still in service. This page exists for two reasons: to supply remaining stock and spares where a site needs a matching unit for an existing installation, and to map a legacy model number onto the correct current Planar equivalent when it is time to replace rather than repair. If you are specifying a new project, start with UltraRes P or Simplicity instead.

Legacy Product Families

  • QE Series — QE7550 (75in), QE8650 (86in) and QE9850 (98in), plus QE7550-T, QE8650-T and QE9850-T touch models. Native Ultra HD 3840x2160 at up to 60Hz over HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 with HDCP 2.2, quad-source viewing with independent per-zone adjustment, fan-free whisper-quiet operation, 24/7 capable, remote monitoring with email alerts, landscape and portrait on select models. TAA compliant.
  • EP Series — roughly 46in to 65in across HD-class and 4K generations: EP4650, EP5550, EP5804K, EP5814K, EP5824K, EP6504K, EP6514K and EP6524K, with -T touch variants. The EPX Series (EPX100, EPX100-T) was the 100in companion.
  • PS Series — roughly 42in to 82in: PS4200, PS4650, PS4660T, PS5560T, PS6500, PS6562T, PS7050 and PS8250, plus the PS Series 4K generation — PS5074K, PS5574K, PS6574K and their -N and -KT variants — at 4K UHD with 500-nit brightness and 24/7 ratings.
  • LookThru transparent OLED — LO552 and LO552-S (straight mount): 55in Full HD transparent OLED with 500 cd/m2 peak white and over 120% NTSC colour. With no backlight and no enclosure required, it is a virtually frameless, genuinely see-through glass display, with Corning Gorilla Glass optically bonded using Planar ERO-OLED. Table-top, straight-wall or ceiling mounting, portrait or landscape, and tileable into arrays.
