AV Design & Integration in San Francisco

Creation Networks is an AV integration company working throughout San Francisco — design, engineering, programming, installation and ongoing support. We are served from our Concord office, about 30 miles east, with technicians on site in the city the same day. Our San Francisco work runs from investment firm boardrooms to a university video wall to an operating transit control room. We have been doing it since 2006.

What we do in San Francisco

What a San Francisco office typically needs from us: conference and boardroom systems that work on the first try for a remote participant, Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms builds standardised across every floor, a video wall or large-format LED in reception or an event space, control and DSP programming on Crestron, Q-SYS or Biamp, and a support agreement so a broken room is a phone call rather than a project. We also do the unglamorous part well: as-built drawings and programming source files handed over at the end, belonging to you rather than to us.

Who we work with in San Francisco

San Francisco buyers are mostly corporate — finance, biotech, technology and aviation — plus higher education and transit. What they have in common is that a room failing in front of a client or a board is the thing they are actually buying insurance against. That is why we push measured outcomes and a service agreement rather than a longer equipment list. Nobody remembers the model number of the DSP. They remember the call that dropped.

Frequently asked questions

Which AV integration company works in San Francisco?

Creation Networks provides AV design, integration and support across San Francisco, working from our Concord, California office roughly 30 miles from the city. Completed San Francisco projects include Bay Area Rapid Transit, Dragoneer Investment Group, Thoma Bravo, San Francisco State University, Rivian, the InterContinental Hotel and Lucas Arts at One Letterman in the Presidio. We have operated in the Bay Area since 2006 and our designers hold CTS-D certification. We work on Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Cisco, Shure and Logitech platforms rather than pushing a single manufacturer, because most organisations already have a standard and replacing it is rarely the cheapest answer. If you have a consultant's drawings we will bid to those drawings and say plainly where we think they are wrong, before the work starts rather than after. Reach us on 888.230.3661 and ask for an AV design advisor rather than a salesperson.

Do you have an office in San Francisco?

No, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Our Bay Area office is at 1001 Shary Circle, Suite 1, Concord, CA 94518, about 30 miles east of the city, and our company headquarters is in Incline Village, Nevada. San Francisco projects are delivered and serviced by our own technicians out of Concord, which in practice means same-day site attendance rather than a subcontractor. We think that is the honest version of a local AV company: staff you employ, close enough to drive, rather than a mailing address in the city and a crew flown in. Ask any integrator claiming a San Francisco office whether the people who will install and service your rooms actually work there. The answer is frequently no. Ours is Concord, it is thirty miles away, and the crew is ours.

What do you hand over at the end of a San Francisco project?

Four things, and the last two are the ones that matter in three years. As-built drawings showing what was actually installed rather than what was drawn at design stage. The programming source files for the control system and DSP, which belong to you, not to us. Training for the people who will use the rooms and for whoever on your team gets called when something stops working. And a maintenance agreement if you want one. The source files are the item worth asking every integrator about before you sign. An integrator who keeps them has made themselves impossible to replace, and you will discover that the first time you want a button moved and the only company that can do it is the one that already has your money. Ask the question early. The answer tells you what kind of relationship you are buying.
