A nationwide AV integrator manages the full lifecycle across every site: technology standards, site surveys, engineering documentation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support — not just equipment sales.

Q: How is a nationwide rollout different from a single-site AV project?

A single-site project designs for one room's conditions. A nationwide rollout defines approved room archetypes (huddle, conference, boardroom, training, etc.) that get applied consistently, with documented exceptions for site-specific constraints like room size or network policy.

Q: Do all rooms need identical equipment?

No. Standardization applies at the archetype level — a small huddle room and a large boardroom should follow different technology packages, but each package should be repeatable across every site that fits that archetype.

Q: Why does network readiness matter for AV projects?

AV-over-IP video, conferencing appliances, control processors, and digital signage all run as networked devices. Without early planning for VLANs, PoE budgets, and security policy, a well-specified system can still underperform once it's installed.

CHALLENGE

The TI renovation involved extensive remodels to the structure, and many high-tech additions and upgrades, including cutting-edge audiovisual amenities. The AV-enabled spaces include the boardroom, meeting rooms, a collaborative space, and private office. Also included in the renovation are more presentation spaces to augment the spaces. Crestron AV switching, distribution and control is crucial to the operation of all these spaces.

THE DESIGN SOLUTION

The Dragoneer team made a strategic decision to implement Crestron AV switching, distribution, and control in the office, boardroom and office suites, partly because they were using Crestron to manage their office prior to the redesign.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Flexible Boardroom

The boardroom provides the most modern and effective multimedia and telecommunications equipment for meetings and events for the office staff and guests. Crestron technology provides world-class audio and video quality for multimedia presentations, online collaboration, live streaming, and presentation capture. Tables and chairs in the boardroom are ideal for interactive meetings and breakout sessions.

AV-Enabled private offices are Great Collaboration Spaces

The meeting rooms are perfect places to share ideas. Each table seats up to 8, the room has a front wall containing a 75" flat panel display, video camera with in-ceiling speakers and wireless microphones. Participants can share HDMI content through an HDMI wired connection at the table or via a wireless access point. Users control the AV system at a wall mounted Touch Panel next to the desk.

RESULTS

A lot of thought went into every element of audiovisual design of the Dragoneer office. That's why it was important for us to create a building that is functional, eye-catching, and operationally clean. The boardroom seats up to 14 around a 98" display that supports 4K content, and the meeting rooms seat up to 8 with 75" flat panels, video cameras, in-ceiling speakers, and wireless microphones. Content shares over a wired HDMI connection at the table or wirelessly, and Crestron switching, distribution, and control runs all of it from wall-mounted touch panels.
