Enova DGX is modular by design

The chassis is chosen by size, then populated with input and output boards to match the sources and displays the room actually has. HDMI, DXLink twisted pair, DXLink fiber and audio insert boards all fit the same frame, which is what lets the port mix change as the facility does.

Count outputs before inputs. Output count is what constrains a matrix in practice, since every display, recorder and confidence monitor consumes one.

DXLink transport

DXLink carries video, audio, control and Ethernet over a single cable. Twisted pair covers in-building runs; fiber is specified where the distance exceeds copper's reach or the path crosses between buildings, where copper introduces a lightning and ground-potential risk.

Transmitter and receiver must be matched from the same generation — a 4K60 receiver will not pair correctly with an older transmitter, and the resulting fault looks like a cable problem rather than a compatibility one. Decora wallplate transmitters suit rooms where the source connects at the wall rather than the rack.

TAA compliance

Several DXLink transmitters and receivers are available TAA compliant for federal and state procurement. Confirm the requirement before ordering — the TAA and standard versions carry different part numbers and are not interchangeable on a compliant bill of materials.
