Crestron 1 Beyond i12D Intelligent Switching Camera — Single-Camera Auto-Tracking Room System with Sennheiser Ceiling Mic and PoE Speakers

A single-camera, plug-and-play Microsoft Teams Rooms system built around the Crestron 1 Beyond IV-CAM-I12D-B, sized for small to medium huddle rooms and standard conference rooms where a single auto-tracking camera covers the entire space. The i12D is Crestron's Intelligent Switching-capable primary host camera — in this kit it simply runs standalone, with no companion cameras attached, so none of the Intelligent Switching setup applies: no Crestron 1 Beyond Camera Manager software, no companion camera discovery or static IP assignment, no Multi-Camera Tracking configuration, and no third-party programming are required. The i12D's on-board AI engine handles speaker tracking, group framing, and conversation mode entirely on its own, out of the box.

Outputs HDMI, USB, and RTSP at up to 4K30 (1080p/720p down to 360p30 over USB); Gigabit Ethernet with AES67 audio input, VISCA/VISCA-over-IP, PELCO-D/P, and UVC control. Up to 512 presets. Powered by the included PW-2420RU 24VDC supply, not PoE. Wall mount bracket included in the box.
• 1x Crestron CCC-110-T Collab Compute — Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor, 32GB dual-channel DDR5, 256GB storage, Windows 11 Enterprise IoT with Microsoft Teams Rooms preinstalled. Drives up to two HDMI displays and up to four USB A/V peripherals. The i12D connects directly to this unit over USB — no separate laptop, NUC, or codec required.
• 1x Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 — beamforming ceiling microphone array for full-room voice pickup, feeding both the room's audio system and the i12D's own speaker-tracking audio reference.
• 4x Crestron SAROS DM-NAX-IC4A-W — active, PoE+ powered in-ceiling speakers with a Balanced Mode Radiator transducer, 80Hz–24kHz response, 170° speech / 140° music coverage. Each speaker is independently networked and powered over a single Cat cable — no amplifier rack, no speaker wire runs, no external DSP required.

Why there's no Camera Manager step in this kit

Crestron 1 Beyond Camera Manager software exists specifically to discover companion cameras on the network, assign them static IPs, and feed their addresses into the primary camera's Multi-Camera Tracking settings so Intelligent Switching can cut between them. Because this kit is a single-camera deployment with no companions, that entire workflow is skipped — there's nothing for Camera Manager to discover or configure. Setup is simply: the IV-CAM-I12D-B connects over a single USB cable to the CCC-110-T compute module, which boots directly into Microsoft Teams Rooms software, and the i12D's built-in AI engine begins speaker tracking, group framing, and conversation-mode switching automatically as soon as the room is in a call — using its own dual-sensor design (PTZ tracking lens plus wide reference camera) to deliver both a close-up of the active speaker and a full-room reference shot without any operator input, VISCA scripting, or preset programming.

The Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 array handles full-room microphone pickup, and the four SAROS DM-NAX-IC4A-W speakers deliver even, PoE-powered program audio across the room — both systems are self-contained and require no separate amplifier, DSP, or network audio processor to commission.

Room fit

This configuration is sized for huddle rooms, small conference rooms, and standard mid-size meeting rooms with a single front-of-room camera position — typically rooms seating up to roughly 10–12 people around one table, where a single wide/tracking camera view is sufficient.
