Product Overview
The Symetrix 80-0090 xOut 12 is a 12-channel Dante-to-analog output endpoint that converts 12 Dante network audio channels to 12 balanced analog line outputs. It is the output counterpart to the xIn 12 (80-0086) and is used to deliver processed audio from a Symetrix DSP to analog amplifiers, speakers, or other analog devices at remote locations in a distributed AV system — without running individual analog cables from the DSP rack to each output location.
Product Description
In a distributed AVoIP architecture, a central Symetrix DSP — such as the EDGE Dante, Prism Dante, or Server D100 — processes audio and routes the outputs over Dante. The xOut 12 receives those Dante channels at a remote location and converts them to 12 balanced analog outputs for connection to power amplifiers or self-powered speakers. Multiple xOut 12 units can be deployed throughout a building, with all routing managed centrally in Symetrix Composer. For smaller installations requiring fewer output channels, the xOut 4 (80-0112) provides 4 Dante-to-analog outputs in a half-rack form factor.
Key Features
- 12 Balanced Analog Outputs — Line-level outputs for connection to power amplifiers or analog devices at remote locations.
- 12 Dante Receive Channels — Receives 12 Dante channels from the network for conversion to analog.
- Rack-Mount Form Factor — Installs in equipment racks at remote or distributed locations.
- Composer Programmable — Routing and channel assignment managed in Symetrix Composer.
- AES67 Compatible — Interoperates with non-Symetrix Dante devices.
Typical Applications
- Multi-zone distributed audio with analog amplifiers at remote rack locations
- Performing arts centers with distributed analog speaker feeds over Dante
- Campus audio distribution to remote buildings from a central Server D100
- Houses of worship with distributed monitor and FOH outputs over Dante
- Conference centers with independent zone audio to analog amplifiers throughout the facility

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can the xOut 12 receive audio from non-Symetrix Dante devices?
- Yes. The xOut 12 is a standard Dante device and can receive Dante audio from any Dante-enabled source on the same network via Dante Controller, in addition to Symetrix Composer routing.
- What is the difference between the xOut 12 and xOut 4?
- The xOut 12 (80-0090) provides 12 balanced analog outputs. The xOut 4 (80-0112) provides 4 outputs in a half-rack form factor for smaller installations.
