The xIn 12 is part of the Symetrix xIO rack-mount Dante endpoint family, which provides analog-to-Dante and Dante-to-analog conversion at remote locations in a distributed AV system. In a typical deployment, a Symetrix EDGE Dante or Server D100 sits in a central equipment room while xIn 12 units are installed at stage boxes, lecterns, or distributed mic locations — sending all 12 analog inputs back to the DSP over Ethernet without running individual analog cables.
