This Cambridge Qt X 300 sound masking kit gives an office suite, clinic, or department floor of up to about 1,600 sq ft a complete speech privacy system with paging and background music from one set of ceiling emitters. It pairs one Qt X 300 three-zone controller with four E-P-W-16-4 packs, for sixteen white Qt Active Emitters with 16 ft patch cables. Direct-field emitters raise the background sound level just enough to make nearby conversations unintelligible, while the same emitters carry announcements and music. Actual coverage depends on ceiling height and layout, and the Qt X 300 scales to 36,000 sq ft as you add emitters.

Product Description

The Qt X 300 is a compact, networked sound masking controller with three controllable outputs, each with A and B cable runs, supporting up to 50 Qt Active Emitters per run. Each output can be set to its own masking level, paging and music level, and spectrum, so an open work area, private offices, and a reception area can be tuned separately. Two analog inputs bring in a paging source and a background music player, and the AVB network port lets multiple Qt X controllers share audio in larger commercial sound masking installations. The Qt Active Emitters are direct-field ceiling emitters: the driver faces the room, so masking spreads evenly and paging stays intelligible. Each emitter produces 30 to 60 dBA of masking and up to 74 dBA of paging or music at 1 meter. Emitters daisy-chain over Category UTP cable with RJ-45 connectors, and rear switches trim level in 1.5 dB steps for fine tuning during commissioning.
