Sharp Projector Lenses (68 products)

Sharp Projector Lenses

Interchangeable lenses are what let one Sharp installation projector work in a shallow lobby, a deep auditorium, or a rear-projection cabinet. This collection covers the full Sharp XP and NP lens range from 0.31:1 ultra-short throw to 7.51:1 ultra-long throw, plus the mount brackets required for ultra-short-throw fitment. Creation Networks can calculate the correct lens from your throw distance and screen width before you order.

Lens Range in This Collection

  • Ultra-Short Throw — XP-57UL (0.31–0.33:1) and XP-44ML (0.32:1) for projecting large images from a few feet away.
  • Short Throw — XP-51ZL, XP-52ZL, XP-50ZL, XP-58ZL, XP-40ZL, NP51ZL, NP53ZL covering roughly 0.53:1 to 1.25:1.
  • Standard Throw — XP-41ZL, XP-53ZL, XP-54ZL, XP-59ZL, XP-60ZL, NP54ZL for typical room geometry.
  • Long & Ultra-Long Throw — XP-43ZL, XP-55ZL, XP-56ZL, XP-61ZL, XP-62ZL, NP55ZL, NP56ZL up to 7.51:1 for rear-of-house booth placement.
  • Mount Brackets — XP-01LK (V Series) and XP-02LK (A Series) brackets required for the XP-44ML ultra-short-throw lens.

How to Choose a Projector Lens

Throw ratio is throw distance divided by image width. Measure the distance from the projector's lens to the screen surface, divide by the screen's width, and match the result to a lens whose zoom range brackets that number. Order a lens whose range has room on both sides rather than one that lands at the extreme end of its travel, so you keep adjustment for a mount that moves or a screen that changes size.

Placement Throw Ratio Example Lens
Directly above or in front of the screen 0.31 – 0.35:1 XP-57UL, XP-44ML
Front of a classroom or boardroom 0.53 – 1.25:1 XP-51ZL, XP-53ZL
Mid-room ceiling mount 1.24 – 2.01:1 XP-54ZL, NP54ZL
Rear booth or balcony 2.99 – 7.51:1 XP-43ZL, XP-56ZL

The Lens Decides the Install, Not the Projector

On installation projectors the body sets the brightness and resolution, but the lens sets where the projector can physically live. A room with a structural beam at mid-ceiling, a balcony rail in the way, or a screen that has to fill an end wall from six feet back is a lens problem, not a projector problem. Getting the lens right on the first order avoids the most common and most expensive rework on a projection project: discovering on install day that the image cannot reach the screen edges.

Send Creation Networks your throw distance and screen width and our team will confirm the lens, including lens-shift range, before anything ships.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sharp Projector Lenses

Q: How do I calculate throw ratio?
A: Divide the throw distance (lens to screen surface) by the image width. A projector 20 feet from a 10-foot-wide screen needs a lens covering 2.0:1.

Q: Are Sharp lenses interchangeable across all models?
A: No. Lenses are matched to specific chassis families. XP-series lenses fit current XP-A and XP-V projectors; NP-series lenses fit the corresponding NP-PA chassis. Check compatibility for your exact model before ordering.

Q: Do I need a bracket with an ultra-short-throw lens?
A: For the XP-44ML, yes. Use the XP-01LK bracket on V Series projectors or the XP-02LK on A Series. The bracket carries the weight of the lens assembly.

Q: What is lens shift and why does it matter?
A: Lens shift moves the image up, down, or sideways optically without tilting the projector, which avoids keystone distortion. It is what lets a ceiling-mounted projector fill a screen squarely without digital correction.

Q: Should I pick a lens at the edge of its zoom range?
A: No. Choose a lens whose range brackets your calculated ratio with margin on both sides, so you retain adjustment if the mount position or screen size changes.
