Sharp Projector Lamps & Replacement Bulbs (27 products)

Sharp Projector Lamps & Replacement Bulbs

Genuine Sharp and Sharp NEC replacement lamp modules for the NP, PA, PX, ME, MC, M, P, UM, and PH projector families. Original lamp assemblies keep the projector inside its rated brightness and color specification and preserve warranty coverage that third-party bulbs typically void. Many modules ship with the matching filter set. Creation Networks stocks the current Sharp lamp catalog for U.S. customers.

Popular Lamp Modules

  • NP47LP — for NP-MC372X/MC382W, NP-ME402X/ME372W/ME382U, NP-MC453X/MC423W and related classroom models.
  • NP44LP — for NP-P474W/P474U/P554W/P554U, includes filters.
  • NP43LP — for the NP-ME301X/ME331X/ME361X/ME401X and W variants.
  • NP42LP — for NP-PA653U/PA803U/PA853W/PA903X installation projectors.
  • NP39LP / NP38LP — for NP-P502W/P502H and NP-P452W/P452H, include filters.
  • NP26LP / NP22LP / NP25LP — for the PA500 through PA700 series and PH1000U/PH1400U large-venue projectors.
  • Legacy modules — NP06LP through NP33LP and VT75LPE for older NEC-branded chassis.

Why Use a Genuine Lamp Module

  • Rated brightness and color temperature are only guaranteed with the original assembly
  • Third-party bulbs commonly void the remaining projector warranty
  • Correct reflector geometry protects the optical engine from heat damage
  • Many Sharp modules include the matching filter, which is the part most often skipped
  • Lamp-hour timers and end-of-life warnings behave correctly with genuine modules

Lamp Replacement Tips

  • Replace the air filter at the same time as the lamp; a clogged filter is the fastest way to shorten the next lamp's life
  • Reset the lamp-hour timer after installation so end-of-life warnings stay accurate
  • Let the projector cool fully before opening the lamp door
  • Keep one spare per projector model on site for venues that cannot go dark
  • If a fleet is going through lamps steadily, price a laser projector refresh against three years of lamp spend

Genuine Lamps and the Filter Nobody Changes

The most common cause of a lamp that dies early is not the lamp. It is the air filter that was never changed, so the new lamp ran hot from the day it went in. Sharp ships filters with many of its lamp modules for exactly this reason. The second most common cause is a third-party bulb with slightly different reflector geometry, which puts heat where the optical engine was not designed to take it and voids what remains of the projector warranty at the same time.

Creation Networks stocks genuine modules and can cross-reference your projector model to the right part. If your fleet is consuming lamps steadily, ask us to price a laser refresh against three years of lamp and labor spend.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sharp Projector Lamps

Q: How do I find the right lamp for my projector?
A: Match the lamp module part number to your projector model. Each Sharp lamp listing names the compatible chassis; if in doubt, send us the projector model number and we will confirm.

Q: Are third-party replacement bulbs a good idea?
A: We do not recommend them. They typically void remaining warranty coverage, and reflector differences can put excess heat into the optical engine. The saving rarely survives one failure.

Q: How long does a projector lamp last?
A: Typically 2,000 to 5,000 hours depending on model and whether eco mode is used. Brightness falls gradually across that period rather than all at once.

Q: Do I need to change the filter too?
A: Yes, and many Sharp lamp modules include one. Running a new lamp behind a clogged filter is the fastest way to shorten its life.

Q: Do I have to reset the lamp timer?
A: Yes. Reset it from the projector menu after installation, otherwise end-of-life warnings and remaining-hours reporting will be wrong for the rest of the lamp's life.
