The EDGE (non-Dante) shares the same physical chassis, expansion card slots, processing architecture, and Composer compatibility as the EDGE Dante (80-0048), differing only in the absence of onboard Dante. The four expansion card slots accept the full range of EDGE-compatible I/O cards — including the 4-Channel AEC Input Card, USB Audio Card, VoIP Interface Card, and Analog Telephone Card — making it a fully capable conferencing or multi-zone audio DSP for analog-only infrastructure. The EDGE non-Dante is a practical choice for facility upgrades where Dante infrastructure is not yet in place, or for applications such as auditoriums and houses of worship where all audio remains on analog wiring.
