The Symetrix 80-0064 4-Channel AEC Input Card is an expansion card for the Symetrix EDGE DSP that adds four channels of hardware acoustic echo cancellation to the EDGE chassis. It is the primary means of enabling AEC on the EDGE platform and is used in conference rooms, meeting spaces, and any application where microphones need hardware echo cancellation for soft-codec or telephone conferencing. Up to four AEC Input Cards can be installed in a single EDGE, providing up to 16 AEC input channels in addition to the base 8 analog inputs.

Product Description

The 4-Channel AEC Input Card installs in any expansion slot of the EDGE Dante (80-0048) or EDGE non-Dante (80-0204). Each card provides four balanced mic/line inputs with onboard acoustic echo cancellation processing. The AEC reference signal is configured in Symetrix Composer and the AEC algorithm runs on the card hardware, offloading processing from the main EDGE DSP. For installations requiring AEC alongside USB-B soft-codec audio, the AEC Input Card is commonly paired with the USB Audio Card (80-0132) in adjacent expansion slots on the same EDGE chassis. For AEC on the Radius NX platform, an internal AEC coprocessor module is used instead.
