Product Overview

The Poly TC10 touch controller in white is a 10.1-inch PoE touch panel that provides in-room call control and out-of-room room scheduling for HP Poly video systems. A single RJ-45 run connects it to a Poly Studio X family video bar or a Poly G7500 codec, delivering one-tap meeting join, content share, mute, and volume control from the conference table. Multi-color LED lights show room availability and mute status from a distance, so the same panel serves as a door-side scheduling display. The white finish is the specification for light-toned rooms — white laminate tables, pale millwork, and glass partitions — where a black panel reads as a dark block on the wall.

Product Description

Poly TC10 10.1-inch touch controller in white on its adjustable table stand

The TC10 runs on one cable. A single RJ-45 carries data and power from a switch port supplying Power over Ethernet compatible with IEEE 802.3at class 0, so the room needs a network drop rather than a drop plus a local outlet. At rough-in, two decisions matter. First, the PoE budget on the switch serving the room: an edge switch already powering wireless access points, IP cameras, and desk phones can exhaust its power budget well before it runs out of ports, and the controller has to be counted in that calculation. Second, the cable path: pull the Cat 6 drop to the table grommet or floor box for tabletop use, or to the wall or glass position beside the door if the panel will be used for scheduling.

The 10.1-inch IPS display runs 1280 x 800 at a 1000:1 contrast ratio with 75-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, which keeps the calendar and call controls readable from off-axis seats and from the corridor. The wall mount kit, table stand, and mounting hardware ship in the box, and HP Poly supports wall, glass, and table placement from that hardware, with an adjustable stand angle to keep ceiling fixtures from washing out the screen. Coordinate the mount choice with the trades before the walls close: a wall or glass position needs the drop and back box located with the drywall, millwork, or glazing contractor, while a table position needs the grommet placed clear of the sightline to the display.

The controller is certified for Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and when paired to a Poly Video OS system it also supports native experiences for Zoom Rooms, 8x8, BlueJeans, GoToRoom, Tencent, RingCentral, and DialPad. Typical pairings are the Poly Studio X52 video bar in medium conference rooms, the Poly Studio X70 or Poly Studio X72 in large rooms, and the Poly G7500 modular codec in rooms built around separate cameras and ceiling microphones. Where the room finish is dark, the same controller is stocked as the Poly TC10 in black; where an 8-inch surface is sufficient and the switch supplies only 802.3af, specify the Poly TC8 touch controller. Provisioning, firmware, and health monitoring run through Poly Lens alongside the host system, and the panel supports 802.1x for networks that authenticate every access port.

Key Features

  • 10.1-Inch IPS Touch Display — A 1280 x 800 panel with 1000:1 contrast gives room users a control surface large enough to read the calendar and call controls at a glance.
  • Single-Cable PoE Installation — One RJ-45 run carries both data and power, so the table or wall position needs a network drop and nothing else.
  • 75-Degree Viewing Angles — Horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep the display readable from off-axis seats and from the hallway when the panel is used for scheduling.
  • Multi-Color LED Status Lights — Room availability and mute status are visible from across the room or down the corridor without waking the screen.
  • Wall, Glass, or Table Mounting — The wall mount kit, table stand, and mounting hardware are included, so the mounting decision does not add a separate line item to the bill of materials.
  • In-Room Control and Room Scheduling — One device handles tap-to-join call control inside the room and bookable-space scheduling outside it, keeping the panel count per room to one.
  • Certified for Zoom and Microsoft Teams — The controller carries platform certification and drives native cloud video app experiences on Poly Video OS systems.
  • 802.1x Network Authentication — The panel authenticates on managed networks where every access port is governed by policy.
  • Poly Lens Management — Firmware, configuration, and device health are managed centrally alongside the host codec or video bar.
  • White Finish — Blends into light conference rooms, white glass partitions, and pale table surfaces where a black controller would dominate the wall.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room
  • Boardroom
  • Huddle room
  • Training room
  • All-hands room
  • Commercial meeting space
  • Multi-purpose room
  • Government space

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the white TC10 different hardware from the black TC10?
No. The display, resolution, PoE class, RJ-45 connection, included mounting hardware, and management are identical — the difference is the finish and the part number. Specify white for light rooms, white glass partitions, and pale table tops; specify the Poly TC10 in black for dark tables and low-light boardrooms. The two SKUs are priced separately, so compare both when ordering across a floor.

Which Poly room systems does the TC10 pair with?
HP Poly publishes compatibility with the Poly Studio X family of video bars and the Poly G7500 modular codec, covering medium rooms on the Studio X52 and large rooms on the Studio X70 or X72. For newer Poly Video OS platforms such as the Studio G62, confirm controller support against the release notes for the firmware version in your fleet before ordering.

What does the TC10 require from the switch?
One RJ-45 port supplying Power over Ethernet compatible with IEEE 802.3at class 0. Add the controller to the PoE budget for the switch serving that room rather than only checking port availability, since an edge switch powering access points and cameras can hit its power ceiling first. The panel supports 802.1x where port authentication is enforced.

Does the panel need a power outlet at the table?
No. Power and data arrive together on the single Ethernet run, so the table position needs one network drop through the grommet or floor box. There is no external power supply to conceal and no USB cable back to a room PC.

Is the wall mount included, or is it a separate order?
The wall mount kit, table stand, and mounting hardware ship in the box, and HP Poly supports wall, glass, and table placement. Fix the mount type before rough-in so the drop lands correctly: a glass or wall position has to be coordinated with the glazing or drywall trade, and a table position needs the grommet located clear of the sightline to the display.

When should I specify the TC8 instead?
Choose the Poly TC8 when an 8-inch in-room control surface is sufficient and out-of-room scheduling is not required, or when the switch supplies only 802.3af — the TC8 runs on 802.3af class 3, while the TC10 expects 802.3at class 0.

Can the TC10 be deployed outside the room?
Yes. It displays the room schedule and books available spaces from a wall or glass position outside the door, and the multi-color LED lights signal vacancy from a distance so staff can see whether a space is free without approaching the panel.

What warranty and support are included?
The TC10 carries the Poly standard one-year limited warranty. Poly+ service agreements are available separately for extended coverage, advance hardware replacement, and technical support. Contact Creation Networks for the correct coverage tier and for volume or project pricing.
