What is the AUDAC WMM450 back box?
The AUDAC WMM450 is a fire-rated, powder-coated steel back box for in-ceiling and in-wall speakers mounted in hollow structures. It gives the speaker a closed 15-liter enclosure lined with acoustic damping wool, which keeps sound from leaking into the room next door. It fits AUDAC CELO, CENA, CIRA and MERO flush-mount speakers.
What does the AUDAC WMM450 back box do?
The WMM450 mounts above the ceiling or inside the wall cavity, and the speaker installs through it from the room side. Its 15-liter internal volume matches what AUDAC recommends for the open-back CELO and MERO series, so low-frequency response holds up. The steel shell meets fire-rated ceiling requirements, and the damping wool absorbs back-wave energy. Use it in offices, hotel rooms and meeting rooms where sound isolation or fire code applies.
