What is the AUDAC WMM630 back box?
The AUDAC WMM630 is a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) back box for in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. It closes off the back of a flush-mount speaker to cut sound radiation into neighboring rooms. It fits AUDAC CELO, CENA and CIRA speakers.
What does the AUDAC WMM630 back box do?
The WMM630 installs in the ceiling or wall cavity, and the speaker mounts into it from the room side. MDF is acoustically dense and inert, so the box does not ring, and a structured coating finishes the outside. It is a good fit for hotel rooms, private offices and residential spaces where isolation matters but a fire-rated enclosure is not required. Built-in depth is 5.31". Compatible speakers include the CELO8I/W and CELO8SI/W. For fire-rated ceilings, use the WMM450 steel back box.
