What is the RDL TX-TPSA1A?
The RDL TX-TPSA1A receives the three audio pairs of a Format-A cable, sums them, and sends the mix on a single pair of an output cable. It lets integrators combine multiple Format-A sources while leaving two pairs free for other senders.
How does it work?
The front-panel RJ45 input accepts a cable from one or more Format-A senders and actively sums pairs A, B and C. A selector sets which output pair, A, B or C, carries the summed signal, and the other two pairs pass through from senders connected to the LOOP IN jack. The module can be powered from any RJ45 jack or from an external 24 Vdc supply on its dc input jack, with an automatically resetting fuse and a blue power LED. Compatible Format-A receivers include the TX-TPR1A, TX-TPR6A and DS-TPR2A.

- Selectable output pair — The summed signal drives pair A, B or C of the output cable.
- Loop-in pass-through — Two audio pairs and the power pair pass through from the LOOP IN jack.
- Flexible powering — Power can come from any RJ45 jack or a local 24 Vdc supply.
- Protected output power — An automatically resetting fuse protects the output voltage.
