What is the RDL TX-TPR1A?
The RDL TX-TPR1A is an active single-pair Format-A receiver that delivers balanced and unbalanced line outputs from twisted pair cable. It suits distributed audio systems that carry line-level signals between rooms over standard twisted pair.
How does it work?
A front-panel switch selects which Format-A pair, A, B or C, is buffered to feed a +4 dBu balanced terminal block output and a -10 dBV unbalanced RCA output. A LOOP OUT RJ45 jack passes all three audio pairs and the power pair to additional receivers, and up to 10 receivers can bridge each cable pair. The module can be powered locally at 24 Vdc through its power jack or terminal block, which also feeds connected modules, or remotely over the twisted pair cable. Compatible Format-A senders include the TX-TPS1A and TX-TPS6A.

- Loop-out daisy chaining — A LOOP OUT jack passes all pairs and power to additional Format-A receivers.
- Local or remote power — The module runs from local 24 Vdc or from power on the twisted pair cable.
- Studio-quality circuitry — RDL specifies THD+N below 0.005% and 10 Hz to 50 kHz (±0.1 dB) response.
