What is the RDL TX-TPS6A?
The RDL TX-TPS6A is a passive single-pair Format-A sender that transformer-isolates a +4 dBu balanced line source onto twisted pair cable. Because it needs no power, it suits distributed audio systems where local power is unavailable.
How does it work?
A low-impedance balanced source connects to the detachable terminal block, and a studio-quality transformer isolates it from the RJ45 output. A front-panel switch selects whether the signal drives pair A, B or C, and the module must feed pair A when combined with a two-pair stereo sender. A LOOP IN jack accepts signals and power from other Format-A senders, and power present there passes through to the output. Compatible Format-A receivers include the TX-TPR1A, TX-TPR6A and DS-TPR2A.

- Low distortion — RDL specifies 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.1 dB) response and THD+N below 0.035% from 50 Hz to 20 kHz.
