What is the RDL TX-TPS1A?
The RDL TX-TPS1A is an active single-pair Format-A sender that places one balanced or unbalanced line-level source onto twisted pair cable. It suits distributed audio systems that send line-level signals between rooms over standard twisted pair.
How does it work?
A source connects to the -10 dBV RCA jack or the +4 dBu balanced terminal block, and a studio-quality buffer amplifier feeds the RJ45 output. A front-panel switch selects whether the signal drives pair A, B or C, and a LOOP IN jack accepts signals and power from up to two other single-pair senders or one two-pair sender. The module can be powered locally at 24 Vdc through its power jack or terminal block, which also feeds connected modules, or remotely over the twisted pair. Compatible Format-A receivers include the TX-TPR1A, TX-TPR6A and DS-TPR2A.

- Selectable Format-A pair — A switch chooses which pair, A, B or C, carries the signal.
- Loop-in daisy chaining — A LOOP IN jack combines signals from other single-pair or two-pair Format-A senders.
- Local or remote power — The module runs from local 24 Vdc or from power on the twisted pair cable.
- Studio-quality circuitry — RDL specifies THD+N below 0.005% and 10 Hz to 50 kHz (±0.1 dB) response.
