What is the RDL DB-NMC1R?
The RDL DB-NMC1R is a rotary Dante network remote control with a full-color LCD that provides volume control and muting at one or more user locations. In a black finish, it adds an installer-enabled menu for Bluetooth track control and programmable presets that can set or clear Dante routings and execute RDL CONSOLE commands. Attenuation adjusts in 1 dB steps from 0 to 64 dB, and multiple units can track the same zone.
How does it work?
The DB-NMC1R connects to a local network that can include compatible RDL audio and control modules as well as Dante devices from RDL and other manufacturers. The default VOLUME screen shows level as segments in a circular pattern, adjusted with a detented rotary encoder that includes programmable acceleration for fast level reductions. A short knob push mutes or unmutes, and the mute state appears on every NMC1R assigned to the same device. A long push opens the menu, which can pause, resume or select tracks on a network-connected Bluetooth device such as the RDL DB-BTN21. Presets are set up and named in RDL CONSOLE, and each can send different commands to several RDL networked products, such as setting levels, enabling phantom power, or establishing and clearing Dante routings on RDL and OEM devices. Menu functions can auto-lock after 30 seconds and require an installer passcode. RDL DB-NLC1R rotary remotes can serve as auxiliary volume controls in the same zone, and RDL notes bandwidth typically supports up to four remote controls per zone. It mounts in a standard US electrical box with the RDL CP-1B cover plate, DC-1B chassis or SMB-1B surface mount box.
