RDL SMB-1B – Single Surface Mount Box for Decora, Black
What is the RDL SMB-1B?
The RDL SMB-1B is a black single surface mount box for one Decora-style product. It mounts RDL remote controls and connector plates on walls and furniture where an in-wall box is not practical.
How does it work?
The SMB-1B holds one Decora-style product, such as an RDL remote control or connector plate. Knockouts accept standard metric or North American conduit at the rear and at the upper or lower surface, depending on orientation. The smooth sides and top or bottom give a more finished appearance than a standard electrical box. It is welded steel with a powder-coated finish, and RDL offers the box in other colors including the RDL SMB-1W.
What are the key features?
- Single Decora position — The box holds one Decora-style product.
- Conduit knockouts — Knockouts accept metric or North American conduit at the rear and top or bottom.
- Finished appearance — Smooth sides give a cleaner look than a standard electrical box.
- All-steel construction — Welded steel provides a rigid enclosure.
- Powder-coated finish — A durable black powder coat resists wear.
