What is the RDL D-TPS6A?
The RDL D-TPS6A is a passive single-pair sender that places stereo consumer line-level audio from two RCA jacks onto one pair of an RDL Format-A twisted pair cable. It mounts in a standard Decora-style wall plate, giving conference rooms and classrooms a clean wall input for laptops and media players.
How does it work?
The two gold-plated RCA jacks accept a -10 dBV stereo source, which is combined to mono and isolated from the RJ45 TP CABLE through a studio-quality transformer. A rear-panel switch selects whether the signal feeds pair A, B or C, and a second TP CABLE jack lets you daisy-chain up to two more single-pair senders or one two-pair sender on the same Cat cable. Because the circuitry is passive, the D-TPS6A needs no power, and any power present on one TP CABLE jack is passed through to modules on the other. Pair it with a Format-A receiver such as the RDL TX-TPR1A or RDL TX-TPR2A, and use the RDL TX-TP4PW power inserter when separate home runs are needed.
