What is the RDL TX-TP4PW?
The RDL TX-TP4PW is a power inserter and signal breakout for RDL Format-A twisted pair systems, with four RJ45 jacks that share audio pairs A, B and C. It supports star-wired layouts where daisy-chaining senders or receivers is not practical.
How does it work?
When one RJ45 receives signals from twisted pair senders, the other three jacks can each feed a separate home run to a receiver, which is useful for high-current receivers such as the RDL D-PSP1A powered speaker that cannot be daisy-chained. It can also combine home runs from separate senders on pairs A, B and C, such as the RDL D-TPS6A, into one output carrying all three pairs. Power from a 24 Vdc supply on the dc jack is fed to all connected modules, each RJ45 output is rated up to 200 mA with a resetting fuse, and LEDs show input and output power. RDL recommends the RDL PS-24AX supply (PS-24AS in the USA), and the module mounts with the RDL TX-RA5 or RDL MB-1.

- Star-wired home runs — Three home runs can feed separate receivers or collect signals from separate senders.
- Powers high-current receivers — It can power up to three high-current Format-A receivers that cannot be daisy-chained.
- Fused, monitored outputs — Resetting fuses protect each 200 mA output, and LEDs show power status.
- Compact TX format — The small TX module mounts on a surface, in a rack adapter or with mounting kits.
