What is the RDL TX-TPR2A?
The RDL TX-TPR2A is an active two-pair receiver that recovers audio from pairs B and C of an RDL Format-A twisted pair cable. It provides balanced +4 dBu and unbalanced -10 dBV outputs for amplifiers, mixers and recorders in distributed audio systems.
How does it work?
Each received pair feeds both a balanced and an unbalanced output on a detachable terminal block, driven by a studio-quality buffer amplifier. Bridging inputs allow up to 10 receivers on each cable pair, so audio from the same Format-A senders can be delivered to multiple locations. The module runs on 24 Vdc at 30 mA locally or remotely through the RJ45 from a power inserter such as the RDL TX-TP1PW or RDL RU-TP4PW, and local power is passed to all connected modules. RDL rates THD+N below 0.005% and noise below -90 dB; the RDL PS-24AX supply is recommended (PS-24AS in the USA).
