The Studio X70 and its X72 and V72 successors are large-room bars: dual-lens optics, a wide microphone array, and enough physical mass that placement is a structural decision rather than a preference. Setting one on a credenza in a boardroom puts the camera below eye line, buries the microphones behind laptop screens, and leaves the bar free to be pushed out of alignment. Mounting it to the display fixes the optical centerline to the display centerline, which is the geometry the DirectorAI framing behavior assumes.

The kit works off the display's VESA interface, so the panel itself can remain on a commercial wall mount, a floor stand, or an AV cart. Above-display mounting is the default for boardrooms and large conference rooms where the camera should look down the table; below-display mounting is used where a low ceiling, a tall panel, or an existing wall plate rules out the top position. Because VESA bosses vary in depth from one commercial panel to the next, the kit supplies four screws and a range of washers — nothing to zero and up to 24 pieces — so the installer can build the correct standoff for the display in front of them rather than sourcing hardware on site.
