The Poly Studio table microphone (875M6AA) is the OEM tabletop expansion microphone for the Poly Studio USB, Studio X50, Studio X52, Studio X70, and Studio X72 video bars. It adds a second pickup point on the conference table for rooms where the integrated bar microphones no longer reach the far end of the seating area. Three unidirectional cardioid capsules provide 3-way audio pickup out to 2.5 m (8.2 ft.) from the puck, with Poly NoiseBlockAI and automatic level control applied in the host video bar. A single RJ-11 cable run is the entire installation, so an integrator can extend microphone coverage in a medium or large conference room without adding a DSP or a separate audio network.

Product Description

HP Poly designed this table microphone as the supported way to extend voice pickup on a Studio room system rather than replacing it with a modular audio chain. In a medium conference room, the bar-integrated array typically covers the first few seats comfortably; past that, participants at the far end of the table drop in level and the far side of the call starts asking people to repeat themselves. Dropping one expansion microphone at the midpoint of the table restores intelligibility without changing the codec, the display mount, or the network design.

Because the capsules are unidirectional cardioid rather than a single omnidirectional element, the microphone rejects more of the reflected energy coming off a glass wall or a hard tabletop than a simple boundary mic would. That matters in commercial meeting spaces with lots of glazing, and in training rooms where HVAC and projector noise sit in the same band as speech. Processing is handled upstream: the host video bar applies NoiseBlockAI noise suppression and auto-leveling across all connected microphone inputs, so the expansion mic behaves as one more element of the same array rather than a separate channel an installer has to gain-stage.

Connection is a single RJ-11 cable, included in the box, from the microphone to the RJ-11 port on the video bar. For tables longer than the supplied cable can reach, HP Poly offers the Studio Expansion Mic Cable Extender Pack (875M4AA) for longer runs. A mute button on the top face with a color-coded LED gives participants local control and a clear visual mute state from anywhere at the table, and Microban antimicrobial protection is applied to the touched surfaces for shared-desk and multi-tenant environments.
