What is the AUDAC SL-NAC8 Dante/AES67 channel license?
The AUDAC SL-NAC8 is a software license that adds 8x8 Dante™/AES67 networked audio channels to the LUNA-F and LUNA-U audio matrix processors. It lets integrators scale a LUNA system's network channel count as paging stations, wall panels and Dante endpoints are added. The license is delivered digitally, so channel capacity can be expanded without hardware changes or a site visit for installation work.
How does the AUDAC SL-NAC8 Dante/AES67 channel license work?
Each SL-NAC8 license adds 8 transmit and 8 receive Dante/AES67 channels to a compatible LUNA processor. Licenses can be stacked: the LUNA-F can be extended up to a maximum of 64x64 channels, while the LUNA-U is limited to a maximum of 32x32 channels. The LUNA-U is not Dante-enabled out of the box, so it needs the optional ANM88 Dante/AES67 networked audio module installed first; the ANM88 itself includes 8x8 channels. The LUNA-F has Dante built in and accepts SL-NAC8 licenses directly. After purchase, a digital copy of the license is supplied and no physical item ships. The current license is version 1.0. Plan channel counts during system design by totaling the networked microphones, wall panels, amplifiers and third-party Dante devices that must route through the matrix.
