What is the AUDAC LUNA-F network audio matrix processor?
The AUDAC LUNA-F is a 1RU network audio matrix processor with 8 mic/line inputs, 8 flexible inputs/outputs, 8 line outputs and 16x16 Dante/AES67 built in. It scales to 64x64 network channels and adds optional 4-channel acoustic echo cancellation. It is AUDAC's flagship DSP for medium to large corporate, education and hospitality systems.
How does the AUDAC LUNA-F network audio matrix processor work?

The LUNA-F combines a dual-core SHARC DSP with an ARM Linux core. Its 8 flex channels can be set as inputs or outputs, and its 24 GPIO pins can each be an input or output, so the same unit adapts to very different rooms. Every channel gets WaveTune 7-band EQ, WavePreset filters, 2000 ms delay, ALC, a built-in signal generator (sine, pink and white noise) and up to 4 priority levels per zone. Dante/AES67 starts at 16x16 and grows to 64x64 with the SL-NAC8 license; the SL-AEC4 license adds 4 channels of AEC for conferencing. An event handler and scheduler automate system behavior, a fault relay reports problems, and over-the-air updates keep firmware current. Control runs from the 2.8" front LCD, AUDAC Touch, RS-232, RS-485 or dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. For simpler systems, see the LUNA-U.
LUNA-U vs LUNA-F:
| Model | Analog in | Analog out | GPIO | Dante/AES67 | AEC | Zones |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LUNA-U | 12 mic/line | 8 | 12 in / 12 out | Optional, up to 32x32 | No | 32 mono / 16 stereo |
| LUNA-F | 8 mic/line + 8 flex I/O | 8 | 24 flex | 16x16 standard, up to 64x64 | Optional (4 ch) | 32 mono / 16 stereo |

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Dante channels does the LUNA-F support?
16x16 out of the box, expandable to 64x64 with the SL-NAC8 license.
Does it handle echo cancellation for video calls?
Yes, with the optional SL-AEC4 4-channel AEC license.
Can it work with other Dante gear?
Yes. It uses standard Dante/AES67, so it works with Dante mics, amplifiers and other DSPs.
How is it controlled?
Front-panel LCD, AUDAC Touch, RS-232, RS-485 or Ethernet, so it fits most control systems.
LUNA-F or LUNA-U?
Pick the LUNA-F when you need built-in Dante, AEC, more GPIO or the fault relay. The LUNA-U suits simpler analog systems.
Where can I find matching amps and panels?
See the AUDAC collection.
Can Creation Networks design and program it?
Yes. We design, install, program and support AUDAC systems nationwide. Call (888) 230-3661.
