It enables AEC on up to 4 independent channels, which covers most conference and communication setups using a ceiling microphone tile or other multi-element microphone array. How does the AUDAC SL-AEC4 4-channel AEC license work?
Echo occurs when far-end audio played through the room loudspeakers is picked up again by the microphones and sent back to the remote party. The SL-AEC4 adds AUDAC's AEC algorithms to the LUNA-F so that echo is removed before the microphone signal leaves the room. Four independent AEC channels are enough for most rooms, for example a single ceiling microphone tile or another multi-element array. AUDAC specifies a 50 ms tail time and an 8 kHz bandwidth, also known as wideband AEC, for clear speech in conferencing. Because it is a software extension, it adds AEC to an existing or new LUNA-F without changing hardware or rack space. After purchase you receive a digital copy of the license (version 1.0), which is applied to the LUNA-F during configuration. Configuration and control of the LUNA-F are handled through the free AUDAC Touch application, available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.
