What is the AUDAC CALI424II/W ceiling speaker?
The AUDAC CALI424II/W is a 2-way 4" ceiling speaker with a multi-tap 70V/100V transformer and an 8 Ω setting, built for paging and background music in offices, retail and restaurants. A 4" cone and coaxial 1" soft dome tweeter cover a wide 155° area. The II version adds IP56 protection and a humidity-proof cone coating.
How does the AUDAC CALI424II/W ceiling speaker work?
The CALI424II/W installs through a 6.69" cut-out and clamps with AUDAC's SafeLatch system, then the borderless TwistFix grill twists into place. A rotary switch on the front sets the tap: 24, 12 or 6 W at 100V, 12, 6 or 3 W at 70V, or 8 Ω direct. That lets one model serve both distributed paging systems and low-impedance music zones. Response is 93 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), with 30 W continuous (AES) power and 102 dB max SPL at 8 Ω. For suspended ceilings, add the TBA40 tile bridge set to spread the load across the tile. Step up to the CALI660II/W for larger rooms or more bass.
