What is the AUDAC TBA40 tile bridge?
The AUDAC TBA40 is a zinc-plated steel tile bridge set for mounting the AUDAC CALI424 ceiling speaker in suspended (lay-in) ceiling tiles. It spreads the speaker's weight across the tile and grid instead of loading the soft tile alone. It is an optional accessory sold separately from the speaker.
What does the AUDAC TBA40 tile bridge do?
The TBA40 sits on top of the ceiling tile and carries the speaker's SafeLatch clamps, so the tile does not sag or crack over time. Cut the tile using the 6.85" round cut-out, fit the bridge, then install the CALI424 through the opening. It is the right add-on any time a CALI424 goes into acoustic tile rather than drywall, which covers most offices, classrooms and government buildings. Order one TBA40 per speaker.
