What is the AUDAC BASSO118/B infrasubwoofer?
The AUDAC BASSO118/B is a 18" ultra-high power infrasubwoofer built for nightclubs, concert venues, theme parks and large event spaces. It handles 1500 W continuous (AES) at 8 Ω and reaches 131 dB max SPL, with response down to 23 Hz (-10 dB). A pure carbon fiber cone and AUDAC's AeroVent porting keep the bass clean at high levels.
How does the AUDAC BASSO118/B infrasubwoofer work?
The BASSO118/B pairs a 18" carbon cone driver on dual suspension and a 4" high-excursion voice coil with AUDAC's AeroVent exponential port, which is designed to cut airflow noise as the driver moves large volumes of air. The cabinet is tuned to 33 Hz, giving 30 Hz – 120 Hz (-3 dB) with 99 dB sensitivity. A multi-layer polyurea coating protects the 18 mm plywood cabinet, and a high-current terminal block with link-through simplifies multi-sub arrays.
