Extron DMP part numbers tell you exactly what is inside. The number is the input and output count, so DMP 128 is 12x8 and DMP 64 is 6x4. Plus indicates the current generation. A C means acoustic echo cancellation is onboard, a V adds VoIP for direct SIP calling, and AT means Dante networked audio is built in. A DMP 128 Plus C V AT is therefore a 12x8 processor with AEC, VoIP, and Dante, which covers almost any conferencing room without an outboard device.

All configuration happens in Extron DSP Configurator, so a room can be commissioned without custom code, and the same processor exposes control to Extron touchpanels and control processors natively. A: If the room does conferencing with open microphones and loudspeakers, yes. AEC models carry the C suffix and remove the far end echo that otherwise makes a room unusable on calls.

A: AT indicates onboard Dante networked audio, which lets the processor send and receive audio over the same network as the rest of your AV estate instead of running analog between rooms.

Q: Is programming required?

Q: Can a DMP drive speakers directly?
