The situation
Coinbase runs its meeting rooms on Google Meet. Its Dublin and London offices each needed one larger room that could do more than a standard Google Meet room: video calls with the rest of the company, plus wireless microphone coverage for town-hall style gatherings where many people need to be heard.
Creation Networks already built AV for Coinbase in the US, including its One Madison office in New York. The goal in Europe was one audio and conferencing standard for both cities rather than two independently designed rooms.
What made it hard
Delivering one standard to two European cities from a US-based design team meant the hands-on installation had to run through a local partner. UK-based Carillion Communications handled on-site commissioning, while Creation Networks managed AV design and project oversight. That required a complete, unambiguous equipment and design package that another company's engineers could execute an ocean away.
It also meant working in GBP and accounting for VAT and import duty on equipment entering Ireland versus the UK.
The two rooms are different shapes. Dublin's is an event space. London's is an open meeting area on the 8th floor. The audio standard stayed the same in both, while the displays were sized to each room.
How we designed it
Both rooms run Google Meet with a Logitech Rally camera, on a Google CBX1 in Dublin and an Asus Chromebox in London. Audio runs through a QSC Core 110f processor, which mixes the wireless microphones and feeds the conference call.
Wireless pickup is a Shure Microflex Wireless system. Six MXW6 boundary microphones cover the table. Two MXW2 handheld microphones serve presenters and audience questions. That gives each room eight wireless channels, enough for a gathering far larger than a typical conference room handles.
In Dublin, the system runs through a 2-channel MXWAPT2 and an 8-channel MXWAPT8 access point. An MXWNCS8 networked charging station keeps the microphones charged between sessions.
Dublin's event space adds Logitech Rally table and display hubs, a Rally mic pod, two Rally speakers and a Logitech Tap controller. Its two 65" Samsung QM65R displays cover a wider room. London uses a single 86" LG display on a stand at the head of one long table.

The rollout
Both quotes were issued against the same core standard. Dublin was priced at £28,415.38 including professional services and London at £25,775.38. Delivery ran through Carillion Communications' UK-based engineering team, with the AV equipment built off-site before on-site commissioning at each location.
Support from here
Both rooms carry an ongoing support plan through the local delivery partner. It includes priority-response fault resolution, remote diagnostic support and an annual preventative maintenance visit per location.
Carillion engineers completed onboarding visits at both offices, inventorying every room and updating Logitech firmware. Support is structured around a UK-based team because that's who can realistically reach either office quickly.
Two rooms built to one standard drift apart if nobody compares them. Firmware lands in one city and not the other, or a microphone goes missing from a charging dock. The annual visit is when someone checks both rooms against the same list.
Frequently Asked Questions — Wireless Microphone Systems for Google Meet Conference Rooms
Answers to the questions IT and workplace teams ask most often about large Google Meet rooms and multi-country AV standards.
How many wireless microphones does a large meeting room need?
Coinbase's Dublin and London Google Meet rooms each run eight Shure Microflex Wireless channels: six MXW6 boundary microphones on the table and two MXW2 handhelds. The boundary microphones cover people seated at the table, and the handhelds cover presenters and audience questions.
A typical small conference room needs far fewer. Eight channels suits a room that hosts town-hall style gatherings.
Can a Google Meet room support wireless microphones for town-hall meetings?
Yes. Coinbase's Dublin and London Google Meet rooms route six Shure MXW6 boundary microphones and two MXW2 handhelds through a QSC Core 110f. Presenters and audience members are heard on the call as well as in the room.
The Logitech Rally camera and Google Meet compute stay the same as in a standard Meet room. The QSC processor is what lets the wireless system join the call.
Can the same AV standard be delivered to two offices in different countries?
Yes. Coinbase's Dublin and London Google Meet rooms share the same core standard: Logitech Rally, a QSC Core 110f and an eight-microphone Shure MXW system. Displays were sized to each room, with two 65-inch Samsung screens in Dublin and one 86-inch LG in London.
A shared standard means one set of design files and one way of working in both rooms.
Should every office use identical displays?
Not necessarily. At Coinbase, the audio and conferencing standard is identical in Dublin and London, but the displays differ because the rooms differ. Dublin's wider event space uses two 65-inch Samsung QM65R displays, while London's long-table room uses one 86-inch LG 86UH5F.
Standardize what users touch and hear. Size the screens to the room.
How does a US-based AV integrator deliver installation work in Europe?
Through a local delivery partner. Coinbase's European rooms were designed and project-managed by Creation Networks, with on-site commissioning handled by Carillion Communications, a UK-based engineering team positioned to reach the Dublin and London offices.
The design package has to be complete enough that another company's engineers can build it without guessing. See our AV design and integration services.
What changes when AV equipment ships to Ireland and the UK?
Pricing, tax and paperwork. Coinbase's European rooms were quoted in GBP, with VAT and import duty handled differently for equipment entering Ireland and the UK. The equipment list itself stayed on the same core standard.
Power and regional wireless bands also need checking, since microphones and power supplies must suit the country they are installed in.
What does ongoing support look like for AV rooms overseas?
Coinbase's Dublin and London rooms carry a support plan with priority-response fault resolution, remote diagnostic support and an annual preventative maintenance visit per location. A UK-based engineering team delivers it because it can reach either office quickly.
Onboarding visits inventoried every room and updated Logitech firmware at both sites.
Why do matched rooms in two cities need scheduled maintenance?
Because they drift apart. In a two-site standard like Coinbase's, firmware updates, missing microphones and changed settings happen in one city and not the other. An annual visit per location checks both rooms against the same list.
Our AV maintenance and support plans are built around that comparison.
