Product Overview
The Symetrix 80-0153 AEC-2 is a dual-channel external acoustic echo cancellation module that adds two hardware AEC channels to compatible Symetrix DSP systems. It provides twice the channel capacity of the AEC-1 (80-0152) in a single unit and is suited to conference rooms requiring two-microphone AEC — such as installations with a separate podium mic and ceiling mic, or a two-channel boundary microphone configuration. It connects to the DSP via analog I/O and is configured in Symetrix Composer.
Product Description
The AEC-2 module processes two microphone input channels with hardware acoustic echo cancellation, each referencing a loudspeaker output signal to remove echo from the microphone path. As an external module rather than an expansion card, it is compatible with all Symetrix DSP platforms including the Prism family, which has no expansion card slots. Multiple AEC-2 units can be combined to cover installations requiring more than two AEC channels externally. For EDGE DSP installations, the 4-Channel AEC Input Card (80-0064) provides a more integrated four-channel AEC solution via expansion slot.
