What is the Shure SLXD4QDAN+ quad-channel wireless receiver?
The Shure SLXD4QDAN+ is a four-channel SLX-D+ digital wireless receiver with built-in Dante networking. It is made for rack-mounted wireless microphone systems in conference centers, houses of worship, schools and live event spaces. This G57 model tunes 470–608 MHz across a 138 MHz range. It is the Dante version of the Shure SLXD4Q+, so a single rack unit can send four channels of wireless audio straight onto your audio network.

How does the Shure SLXD4QDAN+ work?
The SLXD4QDAN+ receives up to four SLX-D+ transmitters at once: SLXD1+ bodypacks, SLXD2+ handhelds and SLXD3+ plug-on transmitters. Original SLX-D transmitters in the same band also work, but without ShowLink Ease. Each channel uses digital predictive switching diversity: a microprocessor switches between the two antennas before a dropout happens, which keeps the RF link stable in difficult rooms. Audio is 24-bit, with 118 dB of dynamic range and 2.8 ms of latency, so speech and vocals come through clean and stay in sync with video.
Setup is fast. Initialize My System scans the local RF environment and assigns open frequencies to every channel. IR sync then pairs each transmitter and shares its AES-256 encryption key. Once linked, Automatic Setup keeps receiver and transmitter connected if interference appears. ShowLink Ease lets a technician change transmitter settings and update firmware over the air from the receiver, up to 30 m (100 ft) away, without pulling a pack off a presenter.
On the back panel, every channel has its own balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS output for analog connection to a mixer or DSP. Two RJ45 ports carry Dante audio and control and can run in Switched, Redundant or Split mode, so the receiver fits into an existing Dante network and supports redundant primary/secondary designs. The BNC antenna inputs supply bias power for active antennas such as the Shure UA874WB wideband active directional antenna, and the RF cascade output feeds additional receivers in the same band.

SLXD4QDAN+ vs. SLXD4Q+
| Feature | SLXD4QDAN+ | SLXD4Q+ |
|---|---|---|
| Channels | 4 | 4 |
| Dante audio networking | Yes | No |
| Analog outputs | 4 XLR + 4 1/4" TRS | 4 XLR + 4 1/4" TRS |
| Best fit | Networked audio systems with a Dante DSP or console | Analog-only rooms and standalone mixers |
What are the key features of the Shure SLXD4QDAN+?
- Four channels in one rack unit — Runs four wireless microphones from a single 1RU chassis, saving rack space over separate receivers.
- Dante networking — Two RJ45 ports put wireless audio and control on a Dante network, with Switched, Redundant and Split modes.
- 138 MHz tuning range — Covers 470–608 MHz in the G57 band, giving more room to find open frequencies in crowded RF environments.
- Digital predictive switching diversity — Switches between antennas before a dropout happens to keep the signal stable.
- AES-256 encryption — Keeps wireless audio private in boardrooms, government spaces and other sensitive meetings.
- ShowLink Ease — Changes transmitter settings and updates transmitter firmware remotely from the receiver.
- Automatic setup and interference detection — Scans, assigns frequencies and alerts or responds automatically when interference appears.
- Digital Feedback Reduction — Up to 16 filters help control feedback without an outboard processor.
- Audio summing — Mixes the four channels down to 3, 2 or 1 outputs for simpler rooms or a single mixer input.
- RF cascade and antenna bias power — Links up to three receivers (12 channels) in the same band and powers active antennas over BNC.
- Third-party control — TCP/IP command strings and Wireless Workbench support make it easy to integrate with Crestron and AMX control systems.
- Rechargeable battery support — Works with SLX-D+ transmitters running the Shure SB903 lithium-ion battery for lower running costs than AA batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which transmitters work with the Shure SLXD4QDAN+?
The SLXD4QDAN+ works with SLX-D+ transmitters in the G57 band: the SLXD1+ bodypack, SLXD2+ handheld and SLXD3+ plug-on. Original SLX-D transmitters in the same band also work, but they don't support ShowLink Ease. Browse the full Shure collection for compatible microphones and accessories.
What is the difference between the SLXD4QDAN+ and the SLXD4Q+?
The SLXD4QDAN+ adds Dante networked audio; the Shure SLXD4Q+ has analog outputs only. Choose the DAN+ model when the receiver feeds a Dante DSP, console or audio network, and the SLXD4Q+ for analog-only systems.
How many SLXD4QDAN+ receivers can run in one system?
Using the RF cascade output, up to three receivers (12 channels) can share one antenna pair in the same band. Shure rates the SLX-D+ platform at up to 11 systems per 6 MHz TV channel. Actual channel counts depend on the local RF environment, so plan larger systems with a frequency coordination scan.
Can the SLXD4QDAN+ integrate with Crestron, AMX or other control systems?
Yes. The receiver accepts third-party TCP/IP command strings on port 2202 once Controller Access is turned on, and Shure names AMX and Crestron support. It can also be monitored and configured in Shure Wireless Workbench alongside your other Shure wireless systems.
Is the G57 band right for my location?
G57 tunes 470–608 MHz, but which frequencies are open depends on local TV broadcasts and other wireless users. The receiver's scan finds open frequencies automatically, and Creation Networks can run a frequency coordination survey before a multi-room deployment.
How is the SLXD4QDAN+ installed and powered?
It mounts in one rack unit with the included rack hardware and runs on the included PS60 external 15 V DC power supply. For equipment racks or rooms where the receiver is far from the presenters, add remote active antennas such as the UA874WB, powered through the receiver's BNC antenna bias.
What warranty and support come with the SLXD4QDAN+?
The SLXD4QDAN+ is covered by Shure's manufacturer warranty. Contact Creation Networks to confirm current warranty terms before ordering. Our team also provides system design, installation, commissioning and ongoing support for SLX-D+ wireless microphone systems nationwide.
Which batteries and chargers does the SLX-D+ system use?
SLX-D+ transmitters run on AA batteries or the rechargeable Shure SB903. Charge them with the SBC203 dual docking station or the SBC10-903 single charger.
