Designed for permanent and portable installed-sound work, the MX180/N pairs a discreet lavalier body with an in-line preamplifier that terminates in a standard 3-pin XLR connector, so it drops into existing mixers, DSPs, and rack-mount audio systems without adapters. Because the cartridge is sold separately, the same housing accepts omnidirectional, cardioid, or supercardioid Microflex cartridges, giving system designers a flexible spare-part and standardization strategy across multiple rooms. The result is consistent hardware for presenters and clergy while pickup characteristics are tuned per space. Add the matching cartridge to complete a working lavalier microphone for commercial AV use.
