Consolidating four encode channels into one 1.62 x 8.64 x 7.67 inch chassis reduces device count, switch ports and rack space against four single-channel encoder endpoints, which matters in a head-end that captures many operational sources continuously. Streams are published as H.264 or H.265 over RTSP with multicast transport, and the S5000 series streaming capability is published as multiple streams. Network connection is one RJ-45 gigabit port with an SFP position published for future use.

Audio can arrive embedded in HDMI or on the analog input and is carried embedded in the outgoing IP video stream.
