RDL RU-TP4PW – Format-A Twisted-Pair Power Inserter, 4 Outputs
What is the RDL RU-TP4PW?
The RDL RU-TP4PW is a four-output power inserter for RDL twisted-pair products. It powers remote senders and receivers from a central equipment rack while passing signal pairs through.
How does it work?
The RU-TP4PW is powered from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX, connected to either the power jack or the detachable terminal block. Four dual-RJ45 jack sets connect remote twisted-pair modules such as the TX-TPS1A sender and TX-TPR1A receiver; one RJ45 in each set can power receivers and the other senders. Signal pairs feed through the associated RJ45s while each jack set is protected by its own automatically resetting fuse. Each output supplies up to 200 mA, and a green LED per set confirms correct output voltage to help find wiring faults.
What are the key features?
- Four powered outputs — Four dual-RJ45 sets power remote senders and receivers.
- Signal loop-through — Signal pairs pass through the associated RJ45 jacks.
- Individually fused outputs — Each jack set has its own automatically resetting fuse.
- Status LEDs — A blue power LED and four green output LEDs simplify troubleshooting.
- Flexible power input — 24 Vdc connects by dc power jack or detachable terminal block.
- RACK-UP mounting — High-density rack mounting is available with RACK-UP accessories.
